Current Prayer Requests & Needs

Please join us in praying at 3:00 pm (central time) for our beautiful children affected by trisomy 13, other genetic syndromes, as well any birth defects. For those of us who are Christian, 3:00 is known to be the hour of mercy. We ask God to shower his mercy, once again as he did at Calvary, upon our children, and all children - our families, and all families.

The 3:00 hour is also special because "3" is the special genetic signature for all persons with a trisomy syndrome. We can join together at 3:00 in our hearts, wherever we may be, to express our gratitude for having been blessed with our special children in a prayer of praise. We can ask for blessings for our children, all children, and one another at this time, knowing that all over the world other parents are praying too. We share a communion of solidarity, a vision of hope, and memories of beautiful babies and children.
Our prayer:

Thank you dear Lord Jesus, for the gift of our children. You have graced us beyond our comprehension. Please guide us in the care of these Treasures. Give us wisdom to make the best decisions for them. Give us patience and charity so that we can advocate for your precious ones. Give us fortitude, so that we will not give up before it is time. Give us peace when our hearts our troubled with worry. Bless our children with all that they need in this life.

And for our children who have gone to be with You, thank you for holding them in eternity as tenderly as we held them on earth.

Bless all of the little babies in this world, each is a special gift to us whether a part of our life for merely a minute or for years. Each gives us a special joy, each shares their special talents. May each of them be protected by angels, may each of them be given a chance to reach their potential. May health providers be reminded that all life has value, each life counts and all parents have the right to choose the chance for life for their child no matter what the diagnosis. The only one that knows what is to be is God, and he in his time reveals his plan to us even though we may not understand it at the time.

Hi My name is Rosann RHorist@aol.com, for 8 months I continued to read your web site because my Brother and his new wife Jackie were going to have a baby. Jackie had a baby 4 years ago with Trisomy 13, so your sight had great interest to me. Yesterday she delivered a 6lb 10 ounce healthy baby daughter. She was born at 6:00.a.m.  Before my sister-in law got to count her toes and fingers she was whisked away. This next part of my letter is like something out of a horror movie. My sister in law developed an AFP and went into full cardiac arrest and passed away about 3 hours after her daughter arrived. Please pray for my brother and family that we may continue on and have strength for his beautiful baby girl.

Julie shares how she “Saw a Miracle at St. Jude...”  Please continue to keep Jolene & the Sexton family in your prayers Praying for a complete healing of cancer.

Our prayer request is that today Grace's balloon in her feeding tube came out, meaning her feeding tube is ready to come out as well. We had a trip to the ER where they checked the placement of the tube and secured it in place until tomorrow. At 9:00 we are to be back for them to go in to radiology and do surgery to put a new feeding tube in. They will not have to make any new holes as we caught this quickly and the hole should still be usable. Please pray that it goes smoothly and that we will be home tomorrow afternoon. It's a little tricky as we don't know anyone closely yet to call on for help with the other kids and Rich needs to work. Please pray for Dr.'s tomorrow and that our search for Dr.'s here in San Antonio would be completed. I have still had a difficult time finding a pediatrician. Thankfully Gracie has stayed healthy.

Our son, Cory, passed away last evening. He was profoundly disabled as a result of Trisomy 13. He had lived for almost 20 years in a community home that ALWAYS put his best interest at heart. We are now grieving for the son that we never had and for the son that we were unable to fully appreciate. Finally, in death I have realized that it wasn't about me, but instead, about him. He enriched the lives of many people of so many people. I always wondered why I had given birth to a child who was so severely disabled. I think, finally in death, that I am beginning to understand. A grieving mother. Joy

Prayer Request!
Please pray for Bryson Nault. He was having a series of Central Apnea Episodes yesterday and it's also thought that his heart had stopped. His Daddy, Travis did CPR and got him breathing again, got the heart and circulation going and he seems to be okay now. It was really scary as it took some time to get him to come back around. Please keep his worried Mommy & Daddy in your prayers. God works miracles everyday through prayer.

Please pray for Mia Maria Abernathy. She was born on May 2, 2008 although she was scheduled for a c-section birth on the 13th. We were so excited. Expecting a healthy baby we were stunned to find out that she has Trisomy 13. We hope to bring her home soon and we are praying for a miracle. I am her Godmother Auntia Rita.

PLEASE PRAY...We need a MIRACLE!!!!

Miss Jolene, Angel  Wyatt's beautiful baby sister has just been diagnosed with Retinoblastoma
Which is a children’s eye cancer. Our family’s and friend’s hearts are just broken.

Please help us pray for a miracle and healing for Sweet Jolene’s eyes. As many of you know, the Sexton family lost Wyatt to Trisomy 13 in 2006. Surely God could bring them a healing, strength, and peace as they move forward with this diagnosis for their precious Jolene.

Please join in prayer, and please pass this prayer request to all you know, via email, prayer groups and church congregations. We are praying for a miracle for this beautiful family. We put our trust in God our Holy Father and Jesus his son for a healing of this cancer.

Jolene Sexton, little sister to Wyatt. Already family has been told possibly an eye may need to be removed, please pray for healing!

Please keep Devon in your prayers. He is going in for Pre-OP tomorrow and Friday, April 18th, surgery. He is having his cataracts removed. Prayers will be appreciated. They need to have the correct lens and everything needs to go smoothly and then of course we need him to keep his hands out of his eye afterwards!

Hi there,
I am the mother of Christina Andresen and the Grandmother of Zoey born just 15 days ago I can say that there is no doubt in my mind that the power of prayer has blessed our family with this precious, perfect little angel. I am humbled from the experience of the out pour of love & prayer from people that don’t even know us, just because a friend or co-worker has offered up prayer for Zoey. Even children of friends have reported having their class openly pray! My very own 4 ½ year old Grandson in pre-school prays with his fellow day care friends & teachers daily. The pastor & his wife that run the daycare came to the hospital daily to offer support, love and especially prayer.
Such an amazing gift that we all at one time or another have taken for granted or not participated in and yet look at its power. I am so very blessed to have all of this gifted freely and as a result, we have Zoey. Every breath she takes, every little milestone she reaches, every time I hold her and can nuzzle her and say “You are safe, and loved so much! Gramma loves you so much”, is a BLESSING that I appreciate every day!
Thank you to everyone, and if I may send out blessings to all that wish to receive them, then here they are. Blessings & prayers of strength for the challenging times, and the power to appreciate the little blessings received every day! Warmly,
Susan Hays, San Jose, CA

Tenecia celebrated her 26th birthday on March 6. Also, Her mother has been called by God to be a minister, Please keep Tenecia’s mother, Petula, in your prayers.

Please pray for my cousin and his wife. (She was pressured to terminate her trisomy 13 child. Her mother could not see the point in "wasting" her fertile years carrying a "defective" baby.)  It really is so sad. My cousin so wanted this baby, but his wife just kind of gave up.
