Update February 17, 2007
Macy was born at 35 weeks weighing 5lb 4 and was diagnosed with trisomy 13 an hour after birth. Our life was turned upside down we were told she wouldn't make it thought the night. Then at 13 days old we took her home to pass away, however, 9 months later she is weighing in at 20lbs and doing well.

Macy has 3 older sisters Laura 9, Chloe 5 and Jazmyn 3. Macy was a planned pregnancy and my pregnancy was normal no problems, so it came as a big shock when she was diagnosed with full trisomy 13.

Macy’s dad is great with her he had adapted so much quicker than I have. He gave up his job to help me care for our 4 children but I think he is beginning to enjoy it. Macy’s main problems is her heart, she has double outlet right ventricle outflow obstruction and 2 holes but it has not gotten any worse, which is great. She also has a umbilical hernia, can’t hear anything and only sees bright lights.

Yes, having Macy has changed our life, but we wouldn't change her for the world! We have learnt so many things and we are so lucky to be her parents.
